Ash Ogata, also known as astrogata, is a composer and audio engineer from Clarke County, VA. Growing up, Ash studied privately with classical guitar professor Keith Filppu at the Shenandoah Conservatory Arts Academy, receiving over 7 years of lessons and performing in classical guitar concerts in the Shenandoah area. Ash was an avid participant in his middle and high school music programs, such as jazz band, concert band, choir, marching band, a-capella, and musical theater ensembles. 

He received his Bachelor of Music at Western Carolina University with a concentration in Commercial Music and Audio Production. During his time at WCU, Ash has worked with a plethora of ensemble types and sizes, hosting recording sessions in the CAT studio and producing these projects to release deliverable tracks. He also has taken on projects in post-production audio for film/TV, such as ADR sessions, foley recordings, and live sound mixing for short films. 

In his free time, Ash enjoys watching movies and spending time with his cat, Chet Baker.
